Last week the Museum of Modern Art hosted a two-day symposium entitled “The Feminist Future: Theory and Practice in the Visual Arts” which featured a keynote address by art historian and critic Lucy Lippard, a closing address by art historian Linda Nochlin, with a roster of artists and curators presenting in between. The event was sold out for weeks prior and this report by Holland Cotter gives us a window to this important event. Art Radio WPS1.org, the internet radio station of P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center provided a live audio feed of the event streamcast in its entirity; I hope that we will be able to hear this symposium within their archives before too long (be sure to check out their podcast offerings).
