The Manhattan Arts International website features an in-depth interview with Stephen Perloff, a long-time contributor to our field through his publications The Photo Review, The Photograph Collector and The Photographic Art Market, and the exhibitions he has curated, too numerous to mention! Many photographers have entered the annual competition, and donated their work to the annual Photo Review Auction, but may know little about the force behind these events, so read this interview!
In this interview with Michael Jason, Perloff offers his insights on the market for contemporary photography, the growing presence of digital photography and announces the juror for this year’s annual Photo competition: Toby Jurovics, curator of photography at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
