SILVER: The Second Annual International Conference and Print Comptition of Black and White Photography will be held March 30 – April 1 at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Entries accepted between February 15 and March 16, 2007; cash prizes for both Student and “Master Printer” competitions. Conference offerings include lectures, panel discussions, one-on-one darkroom demonstrations and portfolio sharing. each evening at the Hilton Pasadena (reduced rates for Silver participants). Speakers include Sally Gall, Keith Carter, John Sexton and Ken Rosenthal among others; I am moderating a panel on getting into galleries with Frish Brandt of Fraenkel Gallery, David Fahey of Fahey/Klein Gallery and Craig Krull of the gallery of his own name.
