Kate Breakey’s mid-career monograph PAINTED LIGHT (UT Press) is being celebrated with exhibitions, talks and signings this weekend in Austin:

Reception and signing, Saturday, 7 pm at The Wittliff Collection, San Marcos (see below)

and

Reception and signing Sunday, 4-7 pm at the Stephen L. Clark Gallery, 110 W. 6th Street, Austin

Internationally recognized for her large-scale, richly hand-colored photographs, KATE BREAKEY is the featured speaker for the Painted Light exhibition reception and book launch of the latest title in the Wittliff Collections’ Southwestern & Mexican Photography Book Series. Kate’s introduction will be made by critic, poet, lecturer, and editor A.D. COLEMAN. Published by the University of Texas Press,Painted Light is available October 2010. Books will be for sale at the event for $65.00 plus tax.
