March 5th-8th – The Armory Show 2009

TODAY the Armory Show opens, and New York City will be full of art activity. Bellow is a list of the details about several shows happening in conjunction with the Armory Show as part of Armory Arts Week

FOTOBAMAWEEK is a photography competition sponsored by FotoWeek DC and the Newseum

FotoWeek DC and The Newseum Celebrate the Presidential Campaign, Election and
Inauguration of Barack Obama

Your impressions of the last two years can have a permanent place in the annals of photojournalism. FotoWeek DC and the Newseum have partnered to share your very best work with the rest of the world!
• The top 100 winning images, selected by The Newseum’s panel of judges, will be exhibited at The Newseum for three months
this summer
• All 100 winning images will be published in a limited edition book sponsored by FotoWeek DC
• Grand prize winners will be announced at a reception at The Newseum.
• Cash prizes totaling $5,000
• All images submitted will be on display at FotoWeek DC’s on-line gallery, along with People’s Choice winners
