February 13th Application Deadline: “Our World” Portfolio Review event in San Francisco

The event will be pre-juried, with a limit of 50. The DEADLINE to submit your portfolio for consideration is February 13th, 2009.

PhotoAlliance  will be hosting the Our World portfolio review.     This event is being co-sponsored by Orion Magazine and the Blue Earth Alliance.

A number of prizes and opportunities will be awarded including:
The Orion/PhotoAlliance Award: For the best portfolio that fits the mission of Orion magazine which is to deepen an understanding of our relationships with the natural world: a portfolio in an upcoming issue of Orion!

The Ike Royer Memorial Award from Freestyle Photographic that recognizes the best work utilizing traditional gelatin silver materials.

The Blue Earth Prize For “Best Project Photography” This new award provides recognition for photographic work best representing the Blue Earth mission: To raise awareness about endangered cultures, threatened environments and social concerns through photography.
