Before leaving Manhattan earlier this week I had one more important stop to share with you:
There is a wonderful exhibition of photographs not to be missed at this year’s
Winter Antiques Show in New York City, which continues through February 1st at the Park Avenue Armory at 67th Street.
Hans P. Kraus, highly regarded dealer of the early masterworks of photography, has taken this opportunity to install a special exhibition created in the spirit of Alfred Stieglitz’s “Little Galleries of the Photo-Secession,” later to be known as simply “291” (291 Fifth Avenue). Kraus has recreated the space as per installation views reproduced in issue #14 of Camera Work, right down the wall fabric, lights created for the show, and more. The vintage works on view are stunning, and this wonderful show is not to be missed!
