Memorial scheduled for Terry Toedtemeier set for for January 4th at the Portland Museum of Art

Just received word from Christopher Rauschenberg that the date has been set for a memorial for curator and photographer Terry Toedtemeier who recently passed away.  The public is welcome to join Terry’s colleagues, family and friends celebrate his life at the Portland Art Museum on January 4th at 3 p.m.   The exhibition “Wild Beauty: Photographs of the Columbia River Gorge, 1867 – 1957” was one of Terry’s greatest achievements; it will be on view at the museum through January 11th.   I encourage you to read my entry from December 12th on Terry’s life, with links to his photography and exhibitions.  Here’s another great review of the “Wild Beauty” exhibition, the book, and link to an interview with Terry about this project, sadly, his last.
