WNYC Today: NY Photo Festival, and Daily “Street Shots” with Bruce Gilden

This morning, I heard Martin Parr’s voice coming out of the radio… the local PBS affiliate WNYC had a piece on the Festival, which I will post on this website here for your listening pleasure when they make it available.

When I went to their website (note the interesting home page graphics, and PLEDGE) I found the “Street Shots” series which today features Magnum photographer BRUCE GILDEN, among others. Watch the video on that link; you are also invited to submit to the series, details there.

From the e-blast:

ACP 10 FESTIVAL GUIDE and PORTFOLIO REVIEW REGISTRATION

ACP will begin accepting listings for the ACP 10 Festival Guide on Monday, May 19th at noon, EST. There’ll be an online sign-up, just like last year, and you’ll be able to safely pay with a credit card, via Google Checkout.

Likewise, on Monday, May 26th, at noon, EST, we’ll be opening-up registration for the ACP 10 Portfolio Review. The Portfolio Review will be Saturday, October 11th, and we’re in the process of finalizing our distinguished group of reviewers.

The Portfolio Review will be juried this year, so if you’re getting ready to register, be sure to have 3-5 jpgs ready (and a brief artist’s statement).

We look forward to working with you to ensure ACP 10 is our best festival ever. For year-round updates about the Atlanta photography community, be sure to see ACP Now!.”
