This Sunday, October 14th, photographer Rania Matar will be speaking at the Griffin Museum in Winchester (near Boston).

“Sunday, October 14, 3:00 PM Senior Sunday with photographer Rania Matar
Rania Matar has traveled widely in the Middle East, photographing street scenes in Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. Her work focuses mainly on women and children and her recent projects – which examine the Palestinian refugee camps, the veil and its meanings, and the aftermath of war – give a voice to people who have been forgotten or misunderstood.
