Women in Photojournalism Conference (Austin, TX mid-August) and Competition (Deadline July 1)

Expanding our Vision” is the theme for this year’s Women in Photojournalism conference to be held in Austin, Texas from August 17-19. Women in Photojournalism is part of the National Press Photographer’s Association (NPPA); their conferences are among the most interesting I’ve ever attended. I urge you to look into attending.

The conference will feature speakers from the print and television community, as well as workshops in both those areas.
Scholarships are available as well.

CALL FOR ENTRIES: “Expanding Your Vision” Photography Conference.
There are no categories, only your interpretation of the theme. Your photographs can represent your definition of the theme through people, place, action, or event milestone. Each photograph is a single entry; submissions must be by women photographers. Entries are uploaded on the conference website, with winning entries shipped in print format for display at the conference, and in a web gallery on the organization’s website (where you can view the past two year’s winning entries). See the website for details!
