THE ‘IT’ FACTOR: What Makes Something Hot?”
March 28 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
“The IT Factor” will take a hard look at the zeitgeist, magic, and the pragmatic construction of charisma in the worlds of art, architecture, design and fashion. Panelists include Clarissa Dalrymple, talent scout; Mayer Rus, Design Editor, House and Gargend, Francesco Vezzoli, multimedia artist; and Anthony Vidler, architectural historian and Dean, Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture of The Cooper Union. This panel will be moderated by Laura Hoptman, Senior Curator, New Museum.

Location: The Great Hall at Cooper Union, 7 East 7th Street at Third Avenue. Admission is $6.00 at the door; free for New Museum Members and Cooper Union students, faculty and staff.

This lecture is the third in a series called HOT BUTTON!, which is the first programmatic initiative of the New Museum’s recetly appointed curatorial team: Richard Flood, Chief Curator; Laura Hoptman, Senior Curator, and Massimiliano Gioni, Curator.
