“The powerHouse Portfolio Review is a platform for all levels of aspiring photographers to present their body of work to be reviewed and critique in the fields of photography, art, media and advertising.” The Reviewers include gallery and museum professionals, photo reseachers and editors, reps, ad agency creatives, publishers and more. While I have not participated as a Reviewer at this event I can say that I appreciate the opportunity it provides for photographers to see a diverse range of industry professionals to “test the waters” so to speak. For example, if you are a fine art photographer, but are curious as to how the editorial or graphic design industry would respond to your work, this would be a chance to have those dialogues (similar in its diversity to the Reviewers at PhotoPlus Expo (October 18-20, 2007) organized by Center.
The one-day event is being held at the powerHouse Arena in the DUMBO Arts District, Brooklyn, New York.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. This event will sell out.
