Paula McCartney’s Bird Watching seems to be a most exemplary specimen of a bird-watching journal. However, a closer look reveals that she has activated her landscapes with decorative craft store birds. Her book, Bird Watching, was recently published by Princeton Architectural Press. McCartney has her MFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has exhibited at Klompching Gallery & Humble Arts Foundation in NY, PCNW & Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
