Photographer Lisa M. Robinson will be giving a lecture and book signing in Savannah on November 29th.
From the Telfair Museum website:
“In keeping with the theme of landscape photography initiated in response to the museum’s current Ansel Adams exhibition, the Telfair and the Jack Leigh Gallery present a lecture and book-signing by photographer Lisa M. Robinson. Robinson grew up in Savannah, studied with the late Jack Leigh, and later received an MFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has received numerous honors and awards, including a Fulbright scholarship to pursue photographic projects in Argentina. Robinson will sign copies of her new book Snowbound immediately following the lecture.”
The current issue of Photo-Eye Booklist features an image by Robinson on the cover, and an interview the artist within the magazine.
From the Photo-Eye Booklist website:
“Our cover image is by Lisa M. Robinson from her series and first monograph Snowbound, accompanied by an interview with Patrick Amsellem, associate curator of photography at the Brooklyn Museum. I have followed Lisa’s work for the past three years while she searched for a publisher, and am proud to feature the work and congratulate Kehrer Verlag for believing in it.” Darius Himes, Editor
