David Schonauer of American Photo has posted a summary of the important photography auctions held in April at Sotheby’s, Christie’s and Phillips de Pury & Company.
Reports indicate that overall, prices were set for works by Imogen Cunningham ($348,000), Frantisek Dritiko ($312,000), Robert Frank ($270,000) Jamomir Funke ($252,000), Horst ($288,000), Irving Penn ($396,000), Robert Polidori ($54,000), Robert Frank ($270,000), Aaron Siskind ($38,400), Carleton Watkins ($492,000) and Edward Weston ($824,400).
