As my regular readers will know, the National Meeting of the Society for Photographic Education (SPE) will be held in Miami beginning Thursday, March 15th and concluding at noon on Sunday, March 18.
I’m giving an afternoon seminar immediately following the conclusion of the conference at the same venue, the Radisson Hotel in Downtown Miami (Tenor Room, registration begins at 12:30).
My presentation, “FINDING YOUR AUDIENCE” will focus on strategies for introducing your work to a broader audience, including the value of entering juried competitions, attending portfolio review events and art gallery expos, the elements of effective self-promotion in print and via websites, fundraising to continue personal projects and much, much more.
The fee to attend the seminar is $45 for students, SPE members and conference participants, $55 for ASMP Members and $65 for all others. Space is limited. Register in advance by calling Beth Ledner in my Tucson office: (520) 742-6311.
I’ll have my book THE BUSINESS OF PHOTOGRAPHY: PRINCIPLES and PRACTICES (2007) available for participants at a reduced rate.
I look forward to meeting many of you in South Florida later this month!
