Center (formerly the Santa Fe Center for Photography) has announced the winners of the 2007 Project Competition. Jurors were Charles Guice of the Charles Guice Gallery, Deborah Klochko who was recently appointed Director of the Museum of Photographic Arts and Kira Pollack, Deputy Photography Editor of the New York Times Magazine. Carol Golembowski’s series “Psychcometry” was awarded First Place by concensus of the Jurors; three finalists were selected as well as three “Juror’s Choice” Awards. All the winning portfolios are posted on the site, along with their their artist’s statements. I encourage all of you to view these interesting bodies of work, and congratulate the winners.
